The Beatles at Red Rocks

The Beatles were a unique band to hit Red Rocks because they were not an American Band. On August 26, 1964, The Beatles made their debut at Red Rocks. The year 1964 was The Beatles North American Tour. It was their second time in the United States. There were about 7,000 people in attendance at this concert. Red Rocks was the sixth stop on their tour. Red Rocks Amphitheater is also one of four venues that are still operating today.   -written by Kathryn Gaskin
