Bunny Yeager

Bunny Yeager is a photographer and former pin-up model. Born in Pennsylvania, Yeager moved to Florida with her family when she was 17. She was happy with the move to Miami, as she was intrigued by the tropics and the glamour of Miami at the time. Yeager honed her skill in photography at the Lindsay Hopkins Vocational School, and recalled that while other students were photographing cats and dogs, she was photographing pin-up models. Influenced by her years as a model herself, she had a good understanding of poses, location, and the dynamic necessary between the photographer and model to create compelling images. Yeager is credited with bringing Bettie Page to national attention. In 1954, Yeager’s first photograph to run in Playboy was a photograph of Bettie Page. Yeager photographed Page and other models in many locations in Miami including Key Biscayne and Miami Beach.
